We alert you straight away by SMS and email with the details of the match. If you're happy with the new date, you accept it, and we give you everything you need to confirm the swap with the DVSA. If it's not right for you, you can pass and we'll keep looking.

No harm done. If a swap falls through before it's finalised with the DVSA, your listing simply goes back into the pool and we carry on matching you. You keep your original test date until a swap is fully confirmed, so you're never left worse off.

Once you've both accepted the match, either you or your swap partner phones the DVSA on 0300 200 1122 (Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm) and asks to swap test appointments with another candidate. Have both booking reference numbers ready, and the operator switches the two appointments over there and then. You'll each receive a standard DVSA confirmation afterwards.
